Novagard Modified Alkoxy Sealants and Adhesives are non-corrosive, single-component pastes. These products are non-corrosive when tested in accordance with Mil Spec A-46146B.

Modified Alkoxy – Series 500 -100

RTV 500-100 is ideally suited for any application that requires long-term bonding and sealing, superior environmental resistance and protection against both thermal and mechanical shock.

Designed primarily for engineering applications in a wide variety of industries, Novagard RTV 500-100 is also an excellent frame and junction box sealant in photovoltaic module construction.

Cleanup of silicone greases and compounds can be accomplished using non-polar solvents such as mineral spirits. They are soluble in Stoddard solvent, toluene ad xylene. Caution should be observed whenever handling solvents.

Silicone greases are not suitable for use in contact with high concentrations of oxygen or highly oxidative materials. Contact with high pressure oxygen, ozone, peroxided or fuming nitric acid can result in fire or explosion. Silicone materials are damaged by exposure to strong mineral acids (e.g. sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric), strong alkaline (e.g. sodium or potassium hydroxides), nitrates or peroxides.
