Gutter Sealants
Novaflex Gutter Sealants are available in two product offerings: Flowable – Self Leveling and Traditonal Paste.
Both products are engineered specifically for the gutter industry and provide a superior leak-proof seal. Novaflex Gutter Paste can be used in overhead, verticle, underdecks, patio covers, and carport applications. Both products provide superior adhesion for metal to metal and metal to plastic or vinyl applications.
Novaflex Flowable Gutter Sealant is ideal for the installer who prefers to use a product that doesn’t require hands-on tooling. This Flowable Gutter Sealant disperses into cracks and crevices for a permanenet and waterproof seal.
Application is as simple as gunning a 1/4″ flat bead and allow the product to migrate into the seam. Use in overlap joints as well.
What Makes a Product Flowable
A note about products that are labeled Self-Leveling or Flowable. The only way to make a product Self-Leveling or Flowable is to change the Thixotropy that allows the product to disperse based on specific gravity and product weight.
A product like Geocel 2320 has the ability to flow as the temperature of the product increases. Its flow-ability is the result of the product temperature increasing. If this were a true Self-Leveling or Flowable product it would dispense at 0 degrees F at the same rate as it would at 25F, 50F, 75F, and even 100F; but it doesn’t. In effect, this products rate of flow is determined by how hot the tube and product has become.
If you prefer the feel of a traditional sealant then use Novaflex Paste Sealant. This product is tool-able and works like traditional gutter sealants…for those who enjoy spreading sealant products. This product has all the same characteristics as our standard Novaflex Metal Adhesive Sealant, with some minor modifications to its ability to adhere to Kynar® painted products.
